Dr. Todd Engstrom
Dr. Todd Engstrom, a Board Certified orthodontist, has over 22 years experience treating both children and adults. He earned his undergraduate and graduate dental degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, served as a dental officer two years in the US Navy, and then went on to also complete a specialty orthodontic residency with the UNC School of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Engstrom strives to remain abreast of the latest orthodontic technology and procedures and is an active member of numerous professional organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, to name a few, He was the past president of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society and the UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association. In addition, he has successfully completed the educational and clinical requirements to earn the title Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Only about one in four orthodontists has achieved this level of practice. Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics signifies a unique achievement and is a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics. Dr. Engstrom is committed to excellence in orthodontics and continues to provide all of his patients with the most comprehensive treatment available.
Dr. Engstrom is married to Pamela Engstrom, a CPA, and they have two children, Ryan and Lauren. Ryan and Lauren both graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, Ryan is in dental school at UNC and Lauren is in the Doctoral Physical Therapy program at Duke.
